Johnny Depp and Al Pacino reunite at the Paris premiere of Depp’s new film Jeanne du Barry

The stars reconnected in Paris more than 25 years after they featured in the gangster drama Donnie Brasco.

Depp, 59, and Pacino, 83, were sighted at the Cinema du Pantheon in Paris for a showing of Donnie Brasco, the classic film in which they co-starred.

Johnny’s future picture, Jeanne du Barry, written and directed by Depp’s co-star Maiwenn, will also open the 2023 Cannes picture Festival on May 16.
Depp, who made news earlier this month for apparently declining Ocean’s 11, wore a black classic Johnny Cash t-shirt over a grey button-down shirt and a grey coat.

For the occasion, he also sported a blue denim beret and brown framed spectacles, as well as many necklaces, bracelets, and rings.
As he exited the Paris theater, he wore a small goatee and a soul patch, his long hair spilling out of his hat.

Depp finished off his appearance with ripped blue jeans and black patches, as well as a pair of black boots.

Pacino wore an all-black ensemble, including a black dress shirt without a tie and a silver chain hanging from his neck.

He also donned a black suit coat, black eyeglasses, and a white scarf draped over his shoulders.

The actor rounded off his ensemble with black dress trousers and black shoes with white soles.

The forthcoming historical drama Jeanne du Barry is based on the titular character, a favorite of King Louis XV, as performed by Depp.

The titular character is defined as ‘a young working-class lady yearning for culture and pleasure, who utilizes her brains and charm to climb the rungs of the social ladder one by one.’

The French court is scandalized when Jeanne and Louis fall’madly in love’ and move in together at Versailles. The picture is Depp’s first live-action movie since 2020’s Minamata, however he is going to return to directing, with Pacino as a producer.

Depp will direct Modigliani, a film about Italian artist and painter Amedeo Modigliani, according to reports in August 2022.

Pacino will produce the film with Depp and Barry Navidi, with filming due to begin this year.
