The renowned singer, who turned 52 on January 11, looked stunning in metallic as she arrived for music’s biggest night.
The Blonds’ crystal-covered, curve-hugging, hip-baring gown with gold belt and waist cuts glistened on the cover of PEOPLE. She accessorized with shoulder-grazing Sister Love hoops, a Shine Like Me ring, and matching metallic boots.
The singer wore a full-length fitted metallic gown with intentionally placed openings on her hips to show off her renowned tattoo. She completed the outfit with a high blonde ponytail and long wavy locks sliding down her back, as well as silver pointed-toe boots.

Clearly, the energy Blige put into looking flawless she also put into having a good time. The star posted a series of photos to Instagram showcasing her birthday look and reflecting on her night with friends adding the caption:

Her Grammy nominations capped off an incredible 2022, which saw her release her 14th studio album, Good Morning Gorgeous, on Feb. 11 — two days before she delivered a show-stopping performance of 2001 hits “Family Affair” and “No More Drama” at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and special guests 50 Cent and Anderson.Paak.
At the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, Blige was also given the Icon Award. “Through it all, I always gravitated back to my first love, music,” the singer said after winning the prize. To be acknowledged in this fashion at this time, with the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards, is an amazing honor that I genuinely appreciate.”
She presented the prize while wearing a dazzling one-shoulder geometric gown with strategic cuts. Blige completed the look by tying her blonde locks into a top ponytail with harsh bangs.
Three weeks before the Grammys, the queen of R&B celebrated her 52nd birthday with a star-studded celebration at Cipriani Wall Street, attended by Usher, Queen Latifah, and Fat Joe.
Blige arrived to her party determined to have a good time and turn heads. The Capricorn came shimmering in silver, wearing a plunging sequin short dress with matching diamond accents and a gray and white fur coat that swept the floor as she went.
Strappy silver shoes, platinum blonde hair in a high bun, enormous hoop earrings, and a smokey makeup moment completed the singer’s birthday elegance.
