However, with the arrival of Michael Jackson, who entertained a throng of over 60,000 people, it was transformed into a star-studded night.
The guest list included up to 3,000 individuals, and the festivities lasted two weeks. A massive stadium was built for the occasion, which was followed by a lavish feast in his palace’s 1,778 apartments. The magnificent celebration held by Hassanal Bolkiah cost a whooping $27 million in total.
