It’s been 16 years since Hannah Montana first aired on the Disney Channel, introducing the world to Miley Cyrus.
The Flowers singer, 30, commemorated the occasion with a tweet.
‘Happy 16th Hannah-versary! HM premiered 16 years ago, and my life changed forever,’ the Party in the USA singer wrote.
‘Because of your devotion and support, I’ve been able to travel the world for over a decade and perform for fans who bring so much greatness into my life.’
The tweet includes a brief video clip of Miley, who just celebrated the release of her new album Endless Summer Vacation, on stage performing the series’ signature Hoedown Throwdown tune.
Hannah Montana’s fictitious pop singer Hannah Montana’s greatest single was Hoedown Throwdown.
Hannah Montana: The Movie, which was released in cinemas in 2009, contained the song.
Miley sported an electric blue metallic catsuit with brilliant blue makeup on her lids in the video.
‘My desire is to perform ‘Hoedown Throwdown,’ Cyrus remarked in a video from a previous show.
‘I can’t remember how it goes,’ she admitted to the audience. You decide.’
She rapped, ‘Pop it, lock it, polka dot it, country fivin’, hip hop hip,’ recalling the lyrics.
The audience then sang the following phrase, prompting the Wrecking Ball vocalist to chuckle and add, ‘Alright, you’re forgetting it too, I’m pleased.’
In a second tweet marking the anniversary, she posted Hannah Montana photographs with the comment, “Grateful to each of you for all of your love & ATTENTION!” You directly paved the way for me! ‘I will be eternally grateful!’
The Muddy Feet singer stated earlier this month that she is the ‘happiest she has been in a long time,’ according to a People insider.
‘She’s the healthiest and happiest she’s been in a long time,’ according to the magazine. ‘Everyone blamed her for the divorce and referred to her as this wild kid, but it wasn’t fair. Their marriage and relationship were poisonous, and she was sad.’
However, with her new album, the singer, 30, is now ready to ‘share her side of the tale’ after having ‘had time to grieve and heal’ following her divorce from Liam Hemsworth, 33, in 2020.
The former couple met while shooting The Last Song in 2009. They had an on-again, off-again romance for years before getting married in December 2018.
They divorced in February 2020 after splitting in August 2019, and many now believe the lyrics of Flowers and Muddy Feet are about her marriage.

‘I built a house and watched it burn,’ she sings in Flowers. The couple’s Malibu house was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire in 2018.
And now, her new single Muddy Feet has sparked a social media backlash against her Australian ex, with fans speculating that the song’s lyrics are about the actor cheating on her.
The Party in the USA singer teamed with Sia on the song, which has the lyrics: “And you smell like perfume that I didn’t buy.”
‘I see why you’ve been drawing the curtains. ‘Get the f**k out of here.’I don’t know. Who do you think you’re messing with?’
There is no evidence that Hemsworth was disloyal to Cyrus, but admirers have claimed on social media that the song is ‘proof’. Cyrus saw the actor leaving the house.
